ilani casino · About
Your complete guide to the Pacific Northwest's premier gaming and entertainment destination — who we are, what drives us, and what makes ilani casino an experience unlike any other.
The Spirit Behind ilani casino
ilani casino is more than a gaming destination — it is a landmark built on decades of vision, tribal heritage, and a genuine commitment to world-class hospitality. Owned and operated by the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, ilani casino opened its doors in 2017 and has since grown into the Pacific Northwest's most celebrated entertainment complex, drawing guests from Portland, Seattle, and across the nation.
Located just off Interstate 5 in Ridgefield, Washington, the resort spans over 100,000 square feet of dynamic gaming floor alongside an award-winning dining collection, a high-capacity entertainment venue, and a curated retail experience. Every detail — from the architectural design echoing the natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest to the carefully trained team of over 1,500 professionals — reflects the tribe's guiding principle: that genuine hospitality creates memories that last far beyond any single visit.
The mission of ilani casino is straightforward: deliver an exceptional, responsible, and inclusive entertainment environment where every guest feels valued. We pursue this by investing in our people, embracing innovation in gaming technology, and maintaining an unwavering standard of service integrity. Whether you come for the thrill of the tables, the flavors of our kitchens, or the energy of a live concert, you leave knowing that ilani casino was built — and continues to grow — with you in mind.

Understanding ilani casino: A Deep-Dive for Players
ilani casino operates under a Class III tribal gaming compact with the State of Washington, which means every slot machine, video poker terminal, and electronic table game on the floor is subject to rigorous state and tribal regulatory oversight. The Washington State Gambling Commission sets minimum theoretical return-to-player (RTP) thresholds, and ilani casino's internal compliance team audits machine performance quarterly to ensure those standards are met or exceeded.
For table game players, ilani casino offers some of the most favorable rule sets in the Pacific Northwest. Blackjack variants include 6-deck shoe games with dealer-stands-soft-17, doubling after split, and re-splitting aces — a combination that reduces the house edge to approximately 0.5% for basic-strategy players. Baccarat tables use eight-deck shoes with standard commission bets, while the poker room hosts both cash games and structured tournament series with guaranteed prize pools.
The ilani Rewards program uses a tiered point-multiplier structure. Base earn rate is 1 point per dollar on slots; table games earn at a lower cash-equivalent rate calculated against theoretical loss. Elite-tier members unlock 3× point multipliers, priority seating, and dedicated host access. Points never expire for active members, and the redemption floor is low enough that casual visitors accumulate meaningful free-play credits within a single visit.
From a venue-design perspective, ilani casino deliberately avoids the windowless, clock-free environment that older casino models relied on to extend play. Natural light enters through a skylight system, digital clocks are prominently displayed, and the property features multiple comfortable non-gaming lounge areas — a deliberate design choice reflecting the resort's responsible-gaming philosophy.
